My professional experience also includes teaching drawing and painting, glass painting, jewellery making and ceramics. I work in a variety of media including acrylics, oils, pastels, collage and photography and these often being combined to create multi-media pieces. Accordingly, the work produced also encompasses a diverse range of techniques, materials and subject matter including realist paintings, vibrantly colourful abstractions, land and seascapes and still lifes. Recently my inspiration has been taken from the dynamic effects of sunsets upon the sea, the patterns created within the movement of the waters and of these upon sandy shores, and also the dramas that present between the sea and sailing boats. |
